These Palm PCs are very small, light weight, and fit easily into a pocket. Just think, all the data entry power of your desktop computer at your fingertips! Additionally, these computers include easy to use handwriting recognition features so that you can enter notes into the computer
just as you would a notebook.
Trac Mate is designed to provide you with a quick and easy method of entering
data in the field while the information is still fresh in your mind. Most of the
information is entered by selecting items from a list with a stylus. You can throw away those pencils!
The names of your fields, equipment, and supplies may be downloaded from Farm Trac to the Palm PC. This saves you time setting up items already entered into Farm Trac. To record information, just select the field, equipment, personnel, and supplies used. There is a place to enter the rates and quantities of the supplies used as well. Do you have trouble remembering how long a farming operation took? Trac Mate features a
time clock for keeping track of tach hours on your equipment as well as personnel time.
For chemical records, field and weather conditions are selected from drop-down lists so that no typing is required. Trac Mate even includes an area for general notes. All of this is possible without a keyboard!
